Ish

Imran Perretta Drama 2025 United Kingdom 0h00m

2-year-old Ismail “Ish” Zia, a British Bangladeshi boy from Luton, grapples with loss, friendship, and identity during one transformative summer. Amid the grief of his mother’s recent death, Ish faces mounting pressure from the outside world—navigating a strained relationship with his best friend, Maram, and contending with the harsh realities of being a young brown man in a post-9/11 society. As social and family tensions rise, Ish struggles to find his place, both in his fractured community and within his own grieving heart. But through the support of those who truly understand him, Ish begins to heal, finding strength in unexpected places and learning that even in the darkest moments, there is a path forward.
